About Me

After graduating with my B.S. from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, I decided to pursue a career in the fitness industry. I moved to Charlotte, NC in 2008 and worked with clients in a one-on-one and small group personal training setting for 6 years. I am certified through the American College of Sports Medicine and am a Level 1 Functional Movement Screening Professional.

After 6 years in the fitness industry, I decided I needed a change. I have since transitioned into the corporate world. I now use my experience as a fitness professional and busy parent to lend practical advice to the working man, woman and parent.

I believe in a simple, no nonsense approach to training. The average individual has several obligations including work, school, family, and household maintenance. The best way to achieve your fitness and performance based goals is to practice the simple (not easy) movements and nutrition habits that have stood the test of time. One does not need to spend endless hours in the gym, kitchen, or on the field to achieve their goals. Less is more. Isolate what works best, be consistent, strive for perfection even if its not possible, and live your life with purpose and vigour.

On a lighter note, I enjoy lifting heavy things, giving out epic high-fives, and spending time with my beautiful wife and son. As a self-proclaimed geek, I also love to read anything I can get my hands on and am a huge fan of various works of fiction including Lord of the Rings, and Game of Thrones. I am a life-long (and often disappointed) Miami Dolphins, Pittsburgh Pirates and Penn State fan.
